During the third quarter of 2024, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in the Middle East showed varied performance among the top five applications. Data from Sensor Tower highlights trends in weekly downloads and active users across these leading apps.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between approximately 55K to 64K. The app saw a stable number of weekly active users, starting at about 1.74M at the beginning of July and slightly decreasing to 1.72M by the end of September.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a downward trend in weekly downloads, beginning the quarter with over 51K and closing at just over 40K. However, its weekly active users remained relatively stable, peaking at around 229K in late August before tapering off to 211K by the end of September.

Careem – rides, food & more showed a positive trajectory in weekly downloads, climbing from 45K in early July to nearly 44K by September's end. The app's active user base also rose, starting at 433K and reaching 425K, indicating steady engagement throughout the quarter.

Jeeny - Book Affordable Rides exhibited a stable pattern in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads hovered around 28K to 34K, while active users remained consistent, fluctuating around 162K throughout the quarter.

inDrive. Save on city rides faced a decline in weekly downloads, starting from 22K and decreasing to approximately 16K by the end of September. Weekly active users showed a similar trend, beginning at 128K and ending at 119K, reflecting reduced engagement over the quarter.
